As of recent, I've been a little bit addicted to the same breakfast recipe. To be honest, it's so simple that I don't even consider it a "recipe". Anyway, before I get any further into this, I'm going to give you a quick ingredient list:
- 1/2 Cup of Quaker Oats (Old Fashioned)
- 1/2 Cup of Silk Almond Milk (Unsweetened Vanilla)
- 1 TBSP of Brown Sugar
- 2 TBSPs of PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter
- 1 Dole Banana (Whole)
Preparing my breakfast is a bit of an overnight process, but it is by no means difficult! In the evening, I combine 1/2 Cup of Quaker Oats, 1/2 Cup of Silk Almond Milk, 1 TBSP of Brown Sugar, and 1 TBSP of PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter into a glass jar, simply mixing them together with a plastic spoon. Then, I seal the jar with a lid, and place it into the refrigerator overnight. The next morning, I remove the jar from the fridge, and pour the contents into a microwavable glass bowl. After microwaving for 1 minute and 30 seconds, I slice up a single banana, using it to top my oatmeal. Finally, I mix the other 1 TBSP of PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter in a separate bowl (adding about 2 1/2 TBSPs of water to the powder) in order to create a "drizzle". Finally, I pour the drizzle onto my finished breakfast. That's all there is to it! It may not sound very exciting, but I find this meal to be both comforting, satisfying, and convenient every single morning! I just thought I would share!
